The spray park committee is a group of community members who have come together to focus on a revitalization project for the Wetaskiwin recreation grounds, directly west of the Manluk pool. Primary focus is building a spray park on a recirculating system. Wetaskiwin is the only community in Alberta within a population of 6,000 and 20,000 that does not have a spray park. Other areas of focus are an all-inclusive playground, accessible fitness area, benches, picnic shelters, and eventual washroom facilities. Wetaskiwin currently has very limited access to free recreation, particularly accessible recreation. There is not one fully accessible park in all of our city.
