Description
This course is designed for students interested in contemporary
painting techniques and concepts. Students will utilize relaxed layering techniques with subject matter focused on free-form, semi representational composition (from drawing or photographic reference). An understanding of process, foundation and painting philosophy will be expressed through discussion, in-class demonstrations and application. Colour, composition and freedom of expression will be strongly encouraged. Students will develop skills utilizing shape and colour explorations.

*Participants bring their own materials - oil or acrylic.
*A suggested supply list is given by the instructor prior to the first class for either oils or acrylics.
