Suitable for all early learning professionals and parents.

Presenter: Christine Yu

This workshop will help people working with children in their early years understand separation anxiety. Discussions will focus on the importance of building secure attachments to support young children, and practical ways to foster secure attachment between children and their caregivers. Attendees will also learn fun, evidence-based strategies to help young children (and their families) better manage separation anxiety.

Christine has worked extensively in the field of anxiety, both as a researcher and a practitioner. She completed her Masters degree in Counselling Psychology at UBC and is currently working as a Registered Clinical Counsellor in private practice and at a non-profit agency. In addition to individual and family therapy, Christine also conducts workshops and presentations about childhood anxiety for schools and parent-groups in communities around the Lower Mainland.
