Presenter: Marlo Humiski

Walk a Mile in My Shoes (WAMMS) will equip you with knowledge and information about learning differences and disabilities and how to support and advocate for individuals and groups with learning differences in educational, social, work and community settings.

Trained facilitators help participants explore learning differences such as Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, ADHD, and Visual-Perception difficulties. Through this workshop, participants will gain knowledge about current research and knowledge of learning differences and a practical understanding of how it may affect a person’s everyday life at home, work and school.

Marlo (she/her) is an engaging and inclusive educator who has over eight years of experience with children in educational programs. Marlo has extensive experience and a passion for working with preschool and elementary school aged children and is the Lead Instructor for Learning Disabilities Society’s Early RISErs program in addition to supporting a wide range of learners in one-to-one literacy and numeracy instruction.
