The Heart of the Child Care: Embedding Curiosity, Inclusion and a Sense of Wonder in your Child Care Design

How can I set up my child care? My room doesn't feel quite right and I don't know where to start? Can my environment be set up to help guide children's behaviour? How can I set up an inclusive space to meet the needs of everyone? Are visuals important in a child care? Can I use open ended materials with all ages and skill levels? Let's explore what's at the heart of our child care environments - our values and guiding principles. With these values, we can look at designing our child care with growth and independence in mind, so that behaviours are reduced and educators can focus on interacting and observing children to support their learning. Simple design techniques can be used to create beautiful environments to spark imagination and creativity. Join us on our journey to learn how to create a child care with 'heart'.

This workshop will be a blend of presentation, discussion and hands-on activities to nurture meaningful dialogue and engagement.

Join us 9:00-9:30AM for light refreshments!
