Pine Crest - Overnight Camp - All-Gender

Description

Juniors - Born between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2016

THIS IS AN ‘ALL GENDER PROGRAM’. REGISTERING FOR THIS PROGRAM MEANS YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH YOUR CAMPER BEING IN THE SAME CABIN AS CAMPERS OF ALL GENDERS.

Please note we can only accommodate one mutual cabin mate request per camper. We cannot accommodate cabin mate requests if campers are in different sessions, age groups or cabin breakdown (boy, girl, all-gender)

This one-week program is an introductory experience of overnight camping that allows young campers to get a taste of all Pine Crest has to offer. There are 8 campers in a cabin with 2 counsellors. While at camp camper will enjoy activities such as group games, campfires, nature hikes, ropes, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, archery, crafts, and much more! Each 1 weeker group will go on a one-night camping trip on one of our campsites on our ‘back lakes’. They will canoe to their campsite, sleep in tents, and cook meals over a fire. While at camp, 1 weeker campers will stay in our lodges, which have a bathroom in the building. This program is a great taste of the many activities in our 2 week programs.

Anyone can register for our All Gender program. The purpose of creating all-gender cabins is to ensure all campers regardless of gender identity, including but not limited to 2-spirit, gender-queer, cisgender, transgender, and non-binary youth, can be in a space that they feel comfortable as themselves in, and can connect with others.

To finalize your registration for this overnight camp, please ensure that you fill out the Medical & Camper Experience Form by navigating to activity number #85329.

While we do our best to accommodate everyone’s needs in regards to cabin mate requests, we are not always able to make every request work. We will try to honour one mutual request for campers in the same age category, session, and cabin breakdown (boy, girl, all-gender). Please note that you can make cabin mate requests of the opposite sex if both campers are registered for our All-gender cabins.

PROGRAM WITHDRAWAL POLICY:

Request to withdraw from camp can be done through your My Y account before April 30 of the current camp year. You will receive a refund minus the non-refundable deposit of $100. No refunds will be granted for non-medical withdrawals received on or after April 30 of the camp season.

If you are withdrawing due to a Medical reason, these can only be done via email and require a medical certificate. You can send your medical request along with the Medical Certificate to register@ymcagta.org. You will receive a full refund minus a $30 administrative fee.
