Description
Bronze Medallion teaches an understanding of the lifesaving principles embodied in the four components of water-rescue education – judgment, knowledge, skill and fitness. Rescuers learn tows and carries, and defence methods and releases in preparation for challenging rescues of increased risk involving conscious and unconscious victims of various types. Lifesavers develop stroke efficiency and endurance.
Includes: Basic Workplace First Aid (Formerly known as Emergency First Aid)
Pre-Requisite: 13 years old or completed Lifesaving Society's Bronze Star

Dates: October 27-29, 2023 ; Times: Fridays 5:00-9:00 pm, Saturdays 8:00-6:00 pm, & Sundays 8:00-6:00 pm

Program Transfer Policy:
- Registrants can be transferred to another Bronze Medallion course, at no additional cost, 48 hours before the start of the course.
Cancellation Policy:
- All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the Aquatics Manager, sarah.elliot@halifax.ymca.ca
- Cancellation requests submitted more than 7 days before the start of the course will be refunded in full.
- Cancellation requests submitted 7 days before the start date will have a cancellation fee applied.
