Description
This course is part of the Quebec governments free lifeguard program designed to address the lifeguard shortage that has been affecting the province since the Covid-19 pandemic.
National lifeguard is the only nationally recognized program for lifeguard training. NLS emphasizes teamwork, communication, and prevention, thus preparing candidates to safely and efficiently supervise an aquatic facility.
The first half of the course takes place in the pool and the second half of the course in the classroom.
We are requiring a 50$ deposit to ensure everyone shows up for the course. Once the course is over, and participants have attended the course consistently and completely, that deposit will be returned. If you fail the course, the deposit will not be refunded.
Prerequisite: Bronze Cross and Standard First Aid
May miss only 1 class.
Materials Needed: Pocket mask, whistle, and Alert Manual
***Please note that a 10$ key Fob must be purchased for the class.
