These terms and conditions apply to all members of the Walker Sports Complex.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Participants shall at all times abide by standards of conduct established by Brock University (https://brocku.ca/policies/wp-content/uploads/sites/94/Respectful-Work-and-Learning-Environment-Policy.pdf ), including standards set out in reasonable instructions by Brock University employees. Without limitation, any illegal, unsafe, harassing, or disruptive behaviour may be grounds for Brock University to require that a participant immediately leave the premises or for the termination of program participation.
FACILITY USE
All patrons are required to treat one another and staff members with respect. Harassment of any type is prohibited.
Conducting or soliciting for any form of business within the Walker Sports Complex is strictly prohibited.
PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY
For the protection of all guests at the Walker Sports Complex, the use of video recording or photographic equipment, including cell phones with photographic capabilities, is prohibited in the locker rooms and pool area. Use of photographic or video recording equipment in other areas of the Walker Sports Complex requires both departmental and participant approval.
The Walker Sports Complex is monitored by video surveillance cameras 24 hours a day. Footage is monitored and reviewed by Campus Security.
CONSENT TO RECEIVE ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS
Participants consent to receive electronic communications from Brock University in relation to their registered program, as well as promotions or offers at Brock University. Brock University will not sell or distribute your email address to third parties, except such third parties who provide services to Brock (such as registration software) and who are bound to keep your email address confidential.
FOOD & DRINK
There is no alcohol permitted in the Walker Sports Complex. There is no food permitted in activity areas unless otherwise stated. Drinks must be kept in plastic, stainless steel, or other non-breakable resealable containers.
DRESS CODE / DRY AREAS
- Only clean, fully-enclosed, athletic footwear with non-marking soles is to be worn inside. Shoes that are dirty and/or will mark floors must be changed prior to entering activity areas.
- Shirts must be worn at all times. Half-shirts or bra-tops are not permitted. Tank/unitard style athletic wear is permitted, provided that the material of the garment covers the nipples and midriff. Shirts that are excessively torn are not permitted.
- Shorts/pants must be of sufficient length as to conceal the gluteal folds.
- Clothing that features derogatory imagery or words is not permitted
DRESS CODE / POOL
Proper bathing attire is required to swim at the pool and use the whirlpool.
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS
Participants agree to abide by all applicable policies of Brock University, as changed from time to time, while on Brock University campus. Participants must abide by all reasonable instructions of Brock University employees.
Participants may be required to sign waivers of liability or other agreements as a prior condition of accessing any Walker Sports Complex facilities, or as a condition of participation in any event or activity at Brock University. The terms of any such agreement will be provided to participants at or during registration for a particular event or activity, and prior to payment.
