Description

The myth of "The West” was created by writers, artists, and film-makers. When many people think of “The West” they think of cowboys, wild mustangs, and one main icon; the bronco buster. This four part series will take you through the beginning of Western American Art (which has been marked by Remington’s Bronco Buster sculpture) all the way to Contemporary Western American art. We will discuss important iconographies, artists, and events that helped to shape this genre.
